Penang

Located in the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Penang is an eclectic mix of ancient temples, beautiful buildings, fascinating villages with thriving local markets and great beaches.

Take a walk around George Town and see a variety of cultures and buildings.Explore the Dutch colonial buildings; the intricate Chinese Khoo Klongsi clan houses; and the Baba Nyonya Pinang Perankan Mansion, which offers a glimpse into the Chinese customs and traditions.

A visit to see the temples and Buddhas of Wat Chayamangkala is recommended too. Penang also offers some stunning tropical beaches and you can also take a day trip to Penang National Park at the northwest corner of the island.
